Job Description

Job Overview Sea Tow Jacksonville is seeking a skilled and experienced Captain to add to our team in operating and maintaining our vessels for marine assistance for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong boat handling skills including navigation and basic mechanical knowledge. You must possess at least an OUPV captain's license near coastal with towing endorsement and be able to be on our random drug testing program. Duties Oversee the safe operation of the vessel, including navigation, communication, and emergency procedures. Once trained, you will be on shift work plus rotating on call. Conduct regular inspections of the vessel to maintain equipment functionality and safety standards. Must be computer literate and be able to operate an ipad with our Salesforce system to run jobs. Implement maintenance schedules for all mechanical systems onboard to ensure reliability. Rotating dispatch with other captains and franchise owners. Maintain accurate records of maintenance of boats. Courteous and calm disposition needed while dealing with distressed customers. Work together with other captains to maintain a 24/7 schedule. Skills Proven boating experience, and calm demeanor under pressure. Strong management skills with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team effectively. Proficiency in rigging techniques and practices essential for safe operations onboard. Solid mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with vessel systems and equipment. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with crew members, passengers and customers. Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges that may arise during operations. This position demands a dedicated individual who is passionate about maritime operations and committed to fostering a safe and productive environment on board.
Pay:
$20.00 - $45.00 per hour
