Boat Captain / Boat Manager - 53'
Scout Location:
Westshore Marina, Tampa, FL Salary:
$50,000/year We are looking for a reliable, experienced Boat Captain / Boat Manager to oversee our privately owned 53' Scout located at Westshore Marina. We want someone who will take ownership of keeping the boat clean, maintained, organized, fueled, and ready to go at all times.
Responsibilities:
Safely captain and operate the 53' Scout Keep the boat clean and ready for use Perform routine/basic maintenance and inspections Monitor engines, batteries, electronics, pumps, generator, and onboard systems Coordinate mechanics, detailing, and outside service vendors when needed Keep track of preventative maintenance and service schedules Fuel and prepare the boat before outings Handle docking, lines, anchoring, and marina operations Identify issues before they become larger repairs Maintain service and maintenance records Be available for scheduled owner outings
Requirements:
Appropriate USCG Captain's License Experience operating larger powerboats, preferably 50'+ Strong docking and boat-handling skills Good working knowledge of marine systems Dependable, organized, professional, and detail-oriented Valid driver's license and reliable transportation References required
Compensation:
$50,000 per year. Additional compensation may be available for overnight or extended trips. We're looking for someone who treats the boat like it's their own and takes pride in keeping it in excellent condition and ready to leave the dock.
