The Captain is responsible for serving guests in a warm, accommodating and professional manner to ensure total guest satisfaction. They are in charge of a specific station and should always be present on the floor making sure that service runs smoothly. Essential Duties Responsible for a specific station Be present on the floor to make sure that service runs smoothly Serve and clear food in cooperation with the Assistant Captain Communicate well with the Assistant Captain and runner in order to provide the correct sequence of service Greet all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness Engage the guests to create positive dining experiences Execute on-going, pre- and post-shift side work Open and close the dining room and beverage station as needed Be knowledgeable of the dishes on the menu and be prepared to answer any questions from the guest The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of service experience, be able to handle a high volume/fine dining environment and should have a general food and wine knowledge.
