Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Captain holding a 100 Ton license to lead and manage vessel operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this role, you will be responsible for navigating, operating, and maintaining the vessel safely while ensuring compliance with all maritime regulations. Your leadership will drive the crew's performance, uphold safety standards, and deliver exceptional service on the water. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your management skills and mechanical expertise in a fast-paced maritime environment. Duties Safely operate and navigate vessels up to 100 Tons, adhering to all federal and state maritime regulations Lead, supervise, and motivate the crew to ensure efficient daily operations and safety compliance Oversee vessel maintenance, including rigging, mechanical systems, and safety equipment inspections Coordinate logistics for loading, unloading, and securing cargo or passengers Implement safety protocols, conduct drills, and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents Manage documentation such as logs, voyage reports, and compliance records with meticulous attention to detail Collaborate with management to plan routes, schedules, and operational strategies Skills Valid 100 Ton Captain license with proven experience in vessel operation Strong management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively Mechanical knowledge related to marine engines, rigging systems, and vessel maintenance Background in military service or related discipline that emphasizes discipline and leadership Proficiency in rigging techniques for securing cargo or equipment on vessels Excellent communication skills for clear coordination with crew members and external agencies Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and efficiently under pressure
