Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate and Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves managing warehouse operations, including inventory control, materials handling, and order fulfillment, while also operating various heavy equipment and delivery vehicles. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient warehouse distribution, uphold safety regulations, and support seamless shipping and receiving processes. Duties Operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and other heavy machinery in accordance with safety protocols and OSHA standards. Assist with inventory management using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software; perform stock counting, cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies. Handle materials manually and with material handling equipment to stock shelves, organize storage areas, and prepare items for shipment. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping using RF scanners and order picker tools; ensure accuracy in order fulfillment. Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety regulations; verify incoming and outgoing goods against shipping documents. Drive company vehicles for deliveries and pickups within designated routes; ensure proper documentation and compliance with traffic laws. Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by following safety procedures; use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Assist with shipping & receiving tasks including documentation preparation, labeling, and inventory updates. Support warehouse supervisor in daily operations; participate in safety meetings and process improvement initiatives. Utilize inventory management systems Skills Proven experience operating warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers,and other heavy machinery. Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, inventory control, and logistics principles. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, RF scanners. Knowledge of safety regulations such as OSHA standards; committed to maintaining a safe working environment. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while following proper techniques. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately. Experience in warehouse operations including stocking, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving. Technical proficiency in material handling equipment operation and warehouse management systems. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of multitasking effectively. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors effectively. This role is essential for maintaining efficient warehouse operations while ensuring safety compliance.
