Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers along designated local routes while complying with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload bulk US Mail efficiently using manual handling techniques, ensuring load safety and security during transit Utilize GPS navigation systems to follow optimized routes for timely deliveries and pickups Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure vehicle safety and readiness. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route adjustments, delivery status, or potential issues during transit Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation Familiarity with truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling techniques Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation), FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling Experience operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers in various conditions including flatbed or tanker configurations Ability to navigate using GPS systems accurately and efficiently on local routes Strong manual handling skills for load & unload tasks with attention to safety standards Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service This role is ideal for motivated drivers eager to showcase their expertise in truck driving while contributing to reliable delivery services.
