$14.00 per hour (maximum 26 hours per week)

Varies on the needs of the University and established schedules May vary depending on University need and some evening and weekend for special events.
Job Summary:
The Temporary Driver is responsible for transporting students, employees, and visitors across campus and offsite locations within designated route(s). This position is responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle, ensuring the safety of the passengers in the vehicle while meeting established transportation schedules. Job Duties/Responsibilities Drives transportation vehicle within a prescribe route(s) in accordance with time schedules; picking up and discharging passengers at designated stops. Conduct safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle daily. Reports needed mechanical repairs when necessary. Performs periodical safety drills as required by law; completing necessary reports upon request. Maintains cleanliness of vehicle to ensure safe operating condition. Completes periodic mileage and other reports including passenger counts. Attends various meetings regarding safety, first aid and training updates as required. Operates a two-way radio. Performs related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid Driver's license Safe driving record Must successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Report inquiry Some experience transporting passengers
