Job Responsibilities:
Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Transport dry van freight safely and efficiently. Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Follow Hours of Service (HOS) and FMCSA regulations. Maintain communication with dispatch regarding pickup, delivery, delays, and other operational updates. Ensure freight is delivered safely and on time. Complete required paperwork and electronic logs accurately. Report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Represent Southern Property Services LLC professionally when interacting with customers, shippers, and receivers.
Requirements:
Valid Class A CDL. Atleast 2 years CDL experience. Valid DOT medical card. Clean and safe driving record. Ability to pass required drug and alcohol screening. Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations. Experience operating tractor-trailers and hauling dry van freight preferred. Strong communication and time-management skills. Ability to safely operate independently and follow dispatch instructions. Reliable and professional work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous regional or OTR driving experience. Experience using ELD systems. Experience with dry van freight.
