As a CDL-A Driver, you'll be the backbone of our logistics operations, ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional service to our customers. Your expertise in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, hazardous materials handling, and freight logistics will drive your success in this energetic and vital role. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers across assigned routes. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques and ensure cargo is secured according to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption. Transport hazardous materials safely by following Hazardous Materials Regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards. Manage delivery driving tasks by loading, securing, transporting, and delivering freight with precision and professionalism. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes or delivery updates while maintaining a positive customer experience. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight logistics cargo handling. Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including manual handling techniques for heavy or hazardous goods. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and automobile transportation methods. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely over long-distance routes. Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments. Understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with delivery driving preferred. Knowledge of dangerous goods handling procedures for hazardous or sensitive freight.
