The Tractor Driver / Porter plays a vital role in the safe and efficient operation and transport of our recreational vehicles throughout the lot. This position is essential for maintaining an efficient flow of RVs and ensuring that each unit is perfectly aligned and visually appealing. As a skilled tractor driver, you will safely operate yard tractors and staging equipment to move travel trailers and fifth wheels around our dealership lot, service bays, and staging areas, and move some of the world's finest RVs. At Great American RV, we equip you with all the tools you need to excel in this role and succeed in your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate tractors and tow vehicles to maneuver motorized and towable RVs throughout the lot, showroom, and service departments. Maintain an orderly, clean, and accessible display lot, ensuring inventory is properly aligned and parked. Transport units to and from service bays, detail bays, and delivery pads to support daily workflow. Perform basic walk-around checks when moving inventory to check for visible damage and stage units for customer pickup or transport. Assist with general lot maintenance, seasonal lot prep, and keeping driving lanes clear.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. Experience operating tractors, heavy equipment, or maneuvering large trailers/towed vehicles. Strong spatial awareness and ability to back up large trailers into tight spaces safely. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.
