Clean Harbors is seeking a safety-focused Driver Class B / Equipment Operator to support environmental and industrial service operations. In this role, you will operate Class B commercial vehicles and a variety of equipment to transport, load, and offload hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials. Responsibilities include performing pre/post-trip inspections, safely operating pumps, hoses, and vacuum or material-handling equipment, and following strict DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations. You will complete required documentation, support emergency response/cleanup projects, and work closely with field teams to deliver high-quality, compliant service to industrial and municipal clients. Responsibilities Safely operate Class B commercial trucks to transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain inspection logs Operate pumps, hoses, vacuum units, and related equipment for loading/unloading materials Follow all DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations and company safety policies Complete required manifests, logs, and service documentation accurately Assist with industrial cleaning, spill response, and waste handling projects Communicate with dispatch and site supervisors to coordinate routes and schedules Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation Use appropriate PPE and participate in safety meetings and training Support emergency response operations as needed, including occasional overtime or on-call work Required Skills Class B commercial driving Equipment operation (pumps, hoses, vacuums) DOT compliance and logs Hazardous waste handling Load securement Basic vehicle and equipment inspection/maintenance OSHA and environmental safety procedures PPE use and safety protocols Route planning and time management Documentation and manifest completion
