Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Junk Removal Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently removing unwanted debris, trash, and bulky items from residential, commercial, and municipal sites. Your expertise in operating various trucks and heavy equipment will ensure that waste is managed responsibly while maintaining a high standard of customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to community cleanliness and environmental sustainability through professional waste removal services. Duties Operate a variety of commercial trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, and dump trucks, adhering strictly to safety protocols and traffic laws. Load and unload waste materials using front-end loaders or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials when necessary. Drive route-specific trucks for municipal waste management, ensuring timely pickups and efficient route navigation in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws. Maintain vehicle safety by conducting regular inspections, performing basic mechanical troubleshooting, and adhering to air brake and other safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, answering questions about waste disposal processes, and ensuring satisfaction with the removal service. Follow all solid waste management procedures, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols during daily operations. Keep accurate logs of loads delivered or collected, report any vehicle issues promptly, and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Skills Proven experience operating heavy-duty trucks such as front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, and garbage trucks. Strong knowledge of commercial truck driving including manual transmission operation and route driving skills. Solid understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling rules, and safety standards related to outdoor work environments. Mechanical knowledge for basic truck maintenance checks and troubleshooting minor issues. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and outdoor work in various weather conditions. Demonstrated ability to adhere to safety protocols while managing waste collection tasks efficiently. Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during pickups or drop-offs while maintaining professionalism.
