In this role, you will operate 9 car haul tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport vehicles efficiently and safely across various routes in Southern California and Phoenix AZ and surrounding areas. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, adherence to safety regulations, and exceptional service for our clients. Responsibilities Safely operated 9 car hauler tractor-trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across driving routes. Load and unload vehicles. Transport automobile parts or vehicles via automobile transportation methods, ensuring proper securing and handling. Manage truck loading and unloading processes with manual handling techniques to maintain safety and efficiency. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues, safety equipment, and load security. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate route changes or delivery updates. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight delivery and route driving. Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including manual handling techniques. Familiarity with car hauling, and other specialized equipment. Ability to operate GPS navigation systems efficiently for route planning and adjustments. Experience with manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailer operations. Knowledge of logistics cargo handling processes for safe load securing and transportation compliance. Excellent driving skills with a clean safety record in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
