Job Description

Rutherford Diversified Industries (RDI) is a general engineering and federal contractor specializing in fiber optic installations for telecommunications. As our name states, we are diversified, also handling most underground utility work, substrate prep, demolition and land clearing, concrete work and even asphalt patching. RDI has been in business for 38 years, working in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and other states. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including Veterans and disabled workers. Currently, RDI is seeking an experienced and seasoned Truck Driver/Flatbed Operator to join our team in Sierra Vista, AZ area. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a commercial truck with tractor and flatbed trailers to transport heavy equipment and materials. He or she will also be able to operate a forklift or other heavy equipment to load/unload materials and equipment. Driving area will be multiple job site/yard locations throughout Arizona, with intermittent travel to New Mexico and Texas. Back to home time may be daily or weekly, depending on business needs. Requirements include but are not limited to: Maintain a valid commercial driver's license. Have a current Medical Examiner's Certificate. Maintain a clean driving record. Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing the operation of a commercial vehicle. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Complete and maintain driver logs as required by DOT regulation. Experience and skilled with oversize and overweight transporting. Load and unload heavy equipment, vehicles, and materials safely and effeciently. Have working knowledge to safely secure all loads.
