From $26.25 per hour Job description: We are seeking a motivated and responsible truck driver with a valid Haz Mat Endorsement and med card to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for safely operating various length box trucks around Southern California. Your primary focus will be on delivering cargo efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This position requires in-person, behind-the-wheel work Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm with weekends and major holidays. You'll be home every night and weekend. The company has your truck detailed once a month so you'll be driving in a clean and well maintained vehicle. We actually care about the quality of our trucks. If something with the truck isn't right, we fix it immediately. We're a small company where everyone knows everyone. You won't be a faceless and unknown minion working in the background. You'll be part of a team that is dedicated to providing a high quality commodity in the time sensitive entertainment industry.

Duties:

Have and keep a current valid California Commercial Driver License with a Hazardous Materials Endorsement and an active Medical Examination Card on file with the DMV. Be willing and able to pass a DOT required drug test, before and during employment. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Load and secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Safely operate a commercial box truck, ensuring compliance with all state and federal transportation laws. Load and unload freight both manually and safely using appropriate equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary. Maintain detailed logs of on duty hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in accordance with regulatory requirements. Communicate effectively with clients and supervisors.

Requirements:

Be able to speak, read, and write in English. Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Hazardous Materials (Haz Mat) Endorsement is required. Have a Current Medical Examination Card (Med Card) on file with CA DMV at all times. Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations and freight handling. Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents. Ability to lift up to 45 lbs for a short period of time. Able to work in a self-directed environment. Able to use Google Calendar. Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a focus on safety is highly desirable. Forklift certification is highly desirable.
