Responsibilities Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on local delivery routes within Los Angeles, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to follow designated routes, including delivery driving and route driving assignments. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on delivery driving within local or OTR (Over the Road) routes. Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading techniques, including manual handling and cargo securing methods. Proficiency with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and execution. Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations to ensure compliance at all times. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with tractor-trailer operations is preferred. Strong organizational skills for managing logistics cargo handling and delivery schedules. Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards on every route.
