Additional $2.00 per hour for all hours starting at 5pm or later Valley Vista Services is a family-owned & operated waste disposal company that has been serving the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding Los Angeles areas since 1957. We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and safety-focused Class A Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and understands the importance of providing reliable service in a high-volume waste and recycling operation. Position Overview The Transfer Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of high-volume loads of municipal solid waste, recyclables, and related materials between transfer stations, disposal facilities, recycling facilities, and other designated locations. This position operates heavy-duty Class A tractor-trailer equipment in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The driver is responsible for safely managing loads, completing multiple hauling trips as assigned, properly securing and managing loads, and maintaining compliance with all company, California, and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. Responsibilities Safely operate Class A tractor-trailer and transfer trailer equipment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations. Transport high-volume waste, recycling, and other approved materials between designated facilities. Safely enter and exit transfer stations, disposal facilities, landfills, recycling facilities, and other customer or company locations. Perform required pre

•and post-trip inspections and promptly report mechanical, safety, or equipment concerns. Maintain accurate vehicle inspection reports, trip documentation, manifests, and other required records. Communicate professionally with dispatch, supervisors, facility personnel, customers, and other employees. Immediately report accidents, injuries, vehicle damage, spills, unsafe conditions, or other incidents. Follow all company safety policies, environmental procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Performs related work as required. Required Qualifications Must possess valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Clean and acceptable driving record in accordance with company and insurance requirements At least one year of truck-driving experience is required; waste industry experience is preferred. Knowledge of the operational characteristics of trucks and similar types of automotive/truck equipment. Knowledge of safe driving techniques and the occupational hazards of motorized equipment operations. Ability to safely lift, climb, bend, stoop, and enter/exit commercial vehicles as required. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around waste, recycling, dust, noise, and heavy equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with dispatch and operations personnel. Strong commitment to safe driving practices and workplace safety.
