RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on assigned routes
• Load, unload, and secure freight as needed
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Complete logs, delivery paperwork, and customer sign-offs accurately
• Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A CDL
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and handle loading/unloading
• Familiarity with counties / area routes
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded

BILINGUAL

Spanish / English Preferred.

PREFERRED

• 1+ year of Class A driving experience
• Tanker, hazmat, or doubles/triples endorsements (if applicable)

Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles on OTR routes across designated territories. Load and unload freight with precision, following proper manual handling procedures and logistics cargo handling standards. Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries and optimal routing. Transport various types of cargo including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials (Hazmat), dangerous goods, flatbed loads, and tanker shipments, complying with all hazardous materials regulations. Deliver freight to multiple destinations, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling of freight during transit. Maintain compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations at all times. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety and report any maintenance issues promptly. Load and unload trucks manually or with equipment as required, ensuring cargo is secured correctly for transport. Keep detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with legal requirements. Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, tractor-trailers, and automobile transportation is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with manual handling is essential. Strong navigation skills using GPS systems for efficient route planning across OTR routes. Experience with freight logistics cargo handling including load & unload procedures. Excellent physical condition for manual handling tasks during loading/unloading processes. Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols while managing hazardous or dangerous goods safely.
