Overview:
University Retirement Community (URC) is a vibrant not-for-profit Life Plan Community located in Davis, California. Our residents enjoy an active lifestyle supported by exceptional services and a full continuum of care. We are seeking a Driver Lead - CDL to provide safe and reliable transportation while supporting the Transportation team through training, quality oversight, and leadership. What You'll Be Doing Provide transportation services for residents attending appointments, errands, community outings, and special events. Lead team members through training, special projects, and day-to-day operational support while maintaining a positive example for the team. Assist with scheduling, quality control efforts, and maintaining transportation supplies and equipment. Safely operate buses and vehicles, including those equipped with wheelchair lifts, while assisting residents with mobility devices and boarding. Conduct vehicle inspections, monitor maintenance needs, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
Pay:
$31.00 - $35.00 / hr DOE About you: Minimum of 2 years' experience in driving cars and/or buses, transportation services, or a related field. Prior experience in a position in which training and advisory functions were the primary role. Valid driver's license and meet Pacific Retirement Services' (PRS's) Employment Driver Guidelines. Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A, B, or C and Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certificate. Ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook.
