Job Description

Clean Harbors seeks a Class A Hazmat Truck Driver to safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste for industrial and environmental clients. In this role, you will operate Class A vehicles with Hazmat, perform pre/post-trip inspections, ensure DOT and safety compliance, complete manifests and logs, and support emergency spill or project work as needed. You'll work closely with dispatch and field teams, uphold a strong safety and environmental focus, and represent Clean Harbors professionally at customer sites while contributing to critical environmental protection efforts. Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards Handle, secure, and document hazardous materials per regulations Maintain accurate manifests, logs, and required transport documentation Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and service Support emergency spill response or field projects as assigned Report incidents, mechanical issues, or safety concerns promptly Required Skills Class A CDLHazmat endorsement (H) or X endorsement Tanker operations DOT regulations compliance Vehicle inspection and maintenance checks Electronic log devices (ELD) use Safe hazardous waste handling Route planning and time management Defensive driving Spill and emergency response procedures
