Physical Certification Full Job Description Vayu Freight is hiring an experienced Class A driver for port and container work out of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Company truck. W-2. Not OTR. The truck does not go home with you. You will drive a new Tesla Semi. Pickups are at the ports, rail ramps, and warehouses in the harbor and South Bay. Deliveries are to warehouses across greater Los Angeles, typically within a 100-150 mile radius. Report to the truck at the start of the shift and go home when the work is done. Shift (day or night) will be set when freight and the truck are live. Driving starts after truck delivery. We will give a firm start date before you leave another job. Pay $30 per hour Overtime per California law What you will do Pick up containers at LA/LB ports, rail, and South Bay yards Deliver to warehouses in greater Los Angeles (about 100-150 miles) Inspect the truck daily and report issues Follow DOT, HOS, and terminal rules Stay in close contact with dispatch Requirements Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card 3+ years tractor-trailer experience (port or local preferred) Clean MVR and ability to pass a DOT drug screen Must be legally authorized to work in the United States TWIC preferred Reliable way to get to the truck at shift start Flexible on shift once the schedule is set Willing to learn Tesla Semi systems Why this job New Tesla Semi Local and greater-LA runs — you go home when the shift is done Hourly pay, not cents-per-mile Small local company, not a mega-carrier Apply with years of Class A experience, TWIC status, and the city you live in.
