Responsibilities Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including box trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks, tractor-trailers Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Load and unload freight or equipment using pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual handling techniques while adhering to safety protocols. Drive route schedules efficiently while maintaining accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance needs. Assist with moving heavy equipment or materials within warehouses or job sites as needed. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, team members, and clients regarding delivery schedules or any vehicle issues. Experience Strong knowledge of mechanical systems related to commercial vehicles and basic troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with manual transmissions and vehicle load securing techniques is preferred. Excellent communication skills to coordinate routes effectively and ensure safety compliance. Experience with route driving across urban or rural settings including heavy haul or heavy equipment transportation is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
