Job Description

Clean Harbors seeks a Class B CDL Hazmat Driver to safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste to and from client sites and company facilities. In this field-based role, you will operate specialized trucks, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure strict compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards. You'll handle, load, and unload containers, complete manifests and logs, and support industrial cleaning and environmental projects. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to environmental protection while developing your skills within a safety-first, team-oriented culture. Responsibilities Operate Class B CDL vehicles to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste between client sites and facilities Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings Handle, load, and unload drums, totes, and bulk waste while following hazmat regulations Maintain accurate manifests, logs, and regulatory documentation for each load Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE use Support industrial cleaning and environmental service projects as needed at customer sites Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding schedules and service Respond appropriately to spills or emergencies in accordance with training and company protocol Maintain vehicle cleanliness, basic preventive maintenance, and report repair needs promptly Participate in ongoing safety meetings, drills, and required training programs Required Skills Class B CDL operation Hazardous materials handling DOT and OSHA compliance Vehicle inspection and maintenance Defensive driving Load securement Emergency response procedures Waste manifest documentation PPE use and safety protocols Route planning and navigation
