Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Goat Driver to join our team in Carson, CA. The Yard Goat Driver is responsible for moving trailers throughout the yard, ensuring efficient trailer placement, and supporting warehouse and transportation operations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating yard trucks, a strong commitment to safety, and the flexibility to work additional hours as needed to support business demands. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a yard goat (terminal tractor) to move trailers within the facility yard. Perform trailer spotting, staging, and repositioning as directed. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment. Verify trailer numbers and ensure trailers are positioned correctly at dock doors. Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and management. Follow all company safety procedures and yard traffic regulations. Report any equipment issues, accidents, or safety concerns immediately. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous Yard Goat, Hostler, or Terminal Tractor experience preferred. Ability to safely maneuver trailers in a busy yard environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to work in varying weather conditions. Flexible schedule with availability for overtime, weekends, and schedule changes as business needs require. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb in and out of equipment throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to work in an active outdoor yard environment.
