MIX Garden is a friendly, helpful, and dynamic small-scale landscape materials business, and we are seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate our truck and transfer. The ideal candidate will provide energetic and excellent customer service, acting as the face of the company while performing off-site deliveries and acquiring landscape materials. •

THIS IS A TEMPORARY 3-MONTH ASSIGNMENT

Responsibilities:

The Driver is responsible for the loading and delivery of all landscape materials to our commercial and retail customers, as well as the pickup of materials from our various suppliers.

This includes:

Safe, efficient, and accurate loading of materials using a skip loader and/or tractor into our Peterbilt dump trucks and transfer trailer. Timely and safe delivery of materials to job sites and customers' locations. Regularly inspecting and maintaining delivery vehicles and equipment. Keeping the materials yard and parking lots organized, clean, and safe. Adhering to the daily delivery schedule (this includes working with the sales staff to appropriately schedule customer deliveries). Representing the company to customers and suppliers in a friendly and helpful manner. Acting as a liaison between the salespeople and the delivery team.

Requirements:

Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening Manual endorsement (REQUIRED) Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. Ability to operate tractors and a 10-wheel dump truck with a transfer trailer Ability to perform basic vehicle and equipment maintenance (advanced maintenance preferred)

Qualifications:

Excellent Class A driving record Minimum of 3 years of experience operating a 10-wheel dump truck and transfer trailer Demonstrated ability in materials management (preferred) Experience providing excellent customer service Positive, highly collaborative, reliable, and proactive attitude

Job Environment:

This job entails being on the road (wider Bay Area) for the pickup and delivery of materials approximately 75% of the time, though this varies seasonally. The remainder of the time is on-site at MIX Garden, overseeing the maintenance of the yard and equipment (including tractors and delivery vehicles), ordering materials, and supporting our sales staff as needed.

7:45 AM•4:15 PM, Monday•

Friday Status:

Full-time, hourly (non-exempt)

Compensation:

$31•$38 per hour (dependent on experience)
