The position duties include loading bulk landscape material such as rock, soil and bark into customers trailers and truck beds without causing damage to equipment and vehicles. On occasion, individuals be required to operate forklifts to unload bulk material from flatbed. Be able to stock pallets in overhead racks and down stock material when required. Individuals will become familiar with basic landscaping materials and terminology. Able to work hand-in-hand with others in a fast-paced environment and follow directions, This position requires physical labor for periods of time to maintain the yard appearance and safety. The position is primarily outdoors and requires individuals to work in all weather conditions. Individuals should be familiar with two-way radio etiquette. Requires working on

Saturdays Key Responsibilites:

Loading and unloading: Moving materials onto and off trucks and trailers; help load customers' orders by utilizing the equipment on-site.

Yard maintenance:

Keeping the yard clean, organized, and free of debris; assist with monitoring Environmental compliance (dust) of area; ensure products are stocked and orderly.

Equipment operation:

Operating machinery like front end wheel loaders, forklifts, pallet jacks and other yard equipment and perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment as needed (i.e. grease, wash, blow out air filters and radiators, etc.) Material handling: Lifting, carrying, and moving materials, often weighing up to 50 lbs or more.

Safety compliance:

Following safety procedures and guidelines, including proper use of equipment and personal protective gear.

Communication and teamwork:

Working effectively with other team members and supervisors; use of two-way raidos.

Adaptability:

Being able to handle a variety of tasks and adapt to changing needs in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

Prior experience operating heavy equipment is preferred but not necessary. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Able to receive feedback from peers, supervisors, and customers. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required. Ability to spend a majority of time in an outdoor environment. Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb and reach above the waist.
