Job Description
The Commercial Truck Driver will be responsible for operating a Class 8 commercial semi-truck to transport dry and non-perishable goods over local and regional routes. The role involves occasional overnight travel and requires strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards to ensure timely and secure delivery of cargo. Responsibilities Operate Class 8 commercial semi-trucks to transport cargo safely and efficiently Handle dry and non-perishable goods with proper care and procedures Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements while driving Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs and records Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure operational safety Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules on local and regional routes Monitor and optimize fuel usage during trips Follow routes and navigate efficiently to avoid delays Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in commercial truck driving (preferred) Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Proficient in commercial driving and route navigation Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulatory compliance Effective time management skills Good communication and problem-solving abilities
