Job DescriptionIt is the driver's responsibility to ensure the forklift driver (loader) properly loads the trailer. Truck driver needs to properly secure the load with straps or load locks when applicable. Driver will then transport goods between El Dorado, Kings, Lost Hills, and Firebaugh plants. Driver must contact off-loader, unsecure the load, and deliver the manifest. Truck Driver will be responsible for safe transportation of loads.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIESPick up and transport loads to outer warehouses based on dispatchConduct all pre- and post-trip inspections of truck and trailerOpen log books and turn in as requested on a daily basisIf any safety issues are noted report to supervisor immediatelyEnsure contents are properly and safely secured to prevent breakage or damage before transportingEnsure vehicle is kept clean and organizedTransport goods between plants and other locations as neededAbide by all state laws and DOT regulationsDriver is required to advise supervisor when equipment needs regular scheduled maintenanceProperly secure mobile ramp when applicableDriver must transport mobile PPO chambers in accordance with all lawsDriver must know how to operate the Elgin sweeperReport any exception-based loads that were unable to be completed to the supervisor Pay range: $28.05-$35.00 per hourQualificationsMust be able to perform all essential duties and responsibilitiesMust have 4 - 6 years of experienceMust have a good safety record with no moving violationsHigh school diploma is preferredExperience moving double flatbeds, and 53' containerOn the road experience preferred, but not requiredCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSValid Class A license with doubles endorsementA current Medical Examiners cardLanguage SkillsBilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not requiredMathematical SkillsMust be able to perform simple calculations; add, subtract, multiply, divideReasoning abilityMust be able to identify safety hazards, reason between safe and unsafe situations, and call supervisor to inform as needed Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.EEO is the law - click here for more information
