We are looking for a reliable and experienced Tow Truck Driver to join our towing operation in the San Jose & Walnut Creek area. This is a dedicated fleet transportation position. We service one primary client and focus exclusively on transporting vehicles within their fleet between designated locations. This is not traditional roadside towing and does not involve responding to general public towing calls. This position requires previous tow truck experience . We are looking for drivers who are comfortable safely loading, securing, transporting, and unloading different types of fleet vehicles. Responsibilities Operate tow trucks safely and professionally Transport vehicles for our dedicated fleet client between designated locations Load, secure, transport, and unload different types of fleet vehicles Properly secure vehicles using chains, straps, and other towing equipment Perform vehicle transports throughout San Jose and surrounding areas Conduct basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections Maintain communication with dispatch regarding assignments and ETAs Take required vehicle photos and document completed transports Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with client personnel Follow all company and DOT safety procedures Keep assigned equipment clean and report any mechanical or safety issues Requirements Previous tow truck driving experience required Valid California Driver's License Clean and acceptable driving record Experience operating a flatbed/wrecker tow truck Knowledge of proper vehicle loading and securement procedures Ability to safely transport different types and sizes of vehicles Ability to work independently and follow dispatch instructions Reliable, punctual, and responsible Must be comfortable using a smartphone for dispatch, photos, and communication Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends as needed Preferred Qualifications Experience transporting commercial vehicles, vans, or fleet vehicles Experience with wheel-lift towing Familiarity with San Jose & Walnut Creek and the surrounding Bay Area Knowledge of DOT vehicle and load securement requirements Compensation $25.00 - $27.00 per hour , depending on towing experience and qualifications.
