Responsible for providing patient transportation, utilizing a company vehicle in a professional, safe, and cost-effective manner, including the following: The ability to transport patients that need special attention due to their physical and/or cognitive disabilities in a timely manner. Responsible for daily patient and staff interaction in person, on the phone, via email and through Microsoft programs Responsible for utilizing and updating patient's charts in our EMR system Responsible for detailed and accurate documentation. Ability to maintain vehicle inspections and document all safety hazards Complete daily pre-trip inspection sheets Assist each patient to provide safe entry and seating, fastening of safety seatbelts on both ambulatory and wheelchair passengers Responsible for reporting any issues with equipment and/or vehicle to immediate supervisor Responsible for providing good customer service representative of CCCHC in a professional manner Accountable for obeying all traffic laws while driving May be required to perform delivery's Establishes and maintains communication with patients and coworkers to improve quality of service and customer satisfaction Offers comfort and support to patients Transports medical equipment, supplies and laboratory specimens to designated treatment, diagnostic and patient care areas Respects and protects patient confidentiality by keeping all sensitive and patient information private Follows all protocols and procedures to ensure safe delivery of patients, their possessions, supplies and laboratory specimens Routinely complies with the standards set forth by HIPAA Regularly participates in ongoing training to improve knowledge and skills Consistently demonstrate and uphold CCCHC's principle of providing quality health and human services to the medically underserved and low-income populations in a culturally sensitive manner Ability to drive a Mobile unit and Mobile RV (No special license required)21. An acceptable safe driving record per insurance standard Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs. Variable start time.Punctuality and Attendance:
This is an essential job duty for CCCHC's employees given the impact on patients. All other duties, as assignedSpecial Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes:
Comfortable working with severely persistently mentally ill patients Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Impeccable organization and time management skills. Ability to work well under pressure, take initiative and be flexible and cooperative. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and Company records. Ability to exhibit good interpersonal skills. Ability to convey a positive and professional image to the patients and the public. Ability to use a computerized patient system (EMR) Demonstrated proficiency in various PC applications, including E-mail, Internet and networking devices. Required to know, follow and enforce safe work practices, and be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations. Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED required. 1-year experience in a health care setting CPR/First Aid Certification required Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred Willing to travel to various locations (approximately 50-mile radius from office).
