We provide a very special service for incredibly lucky Bay Area pups. Our happy campers are picked up Monday-Friday for off-leash beach fun and miles of gorgeous trail hikes in San Francisco/Daly City. As a Hiker/Driver your primary objective is to ensure the safety of our doggie campers at all times. A typical day consists of 4-6 pickups at private residences, then commuting to our beach hike location about 30 minutes away-Dependent on weather, hikes run 2.5-3 hrs. Vehicle, gas, cell phone and all other necessary equipment provided. We are looking for someone with a keen eye to detail and assessing risk factors in the daily role. Previous dog handling experience is a must. Since the dogs are mainly off-leash (although well behaved), a clear idea of all of the different "personalities" and their individual needs is absolutely necessary to running a great day. •
MANDATORY TRAINING/PROBATIONARY PERIOD WILL INVOLVE HIKING ONLY THE FIRST 90 DAYS
•All applicants will need to pass a background check as well as a driver's record check. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and live within 20 mins of the San Francisco Bay Area. This is an active role which requires a minimum of 2.5 hours of hiking per day. You must be able to hike up and down all of the changing terrain without an issue. Hiking sandals/shoes and proper attire are a must. Schedule is part-time/on-call and flexible. Applicants must have at least 2 days available to work between Monday-Friday.
