Job Description:
Shipping, Receiving, Driver SPS is a fast paced metal manufacturer/stainless steel fabricator for the semi-conductor, aerospace, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. We are looking for a motivated shipper/receiver/driver for our manufacturing warehouse.Summary:
- Perform all warehouse jobs including: receiving and unloading freight manually or with forklift.
- Must inspect all goods upon receipt checking for damage and scratches and quality of metal.
- Verify goods ordered against purchase order and blueprints for quantity, model, quality etc.
- Will undergo training with our E2 software and inventory allocation system.
- Will be responsible for conducting inventory and maintaining movement of goods.
- Complete handwritten and excel spreadsheet receiving reports.
- Pull materials, kit parts required for the assembly of manufactured goods.
- Categorize and identify all parts for the job they are designated for.
- Stocks shelves, maintains inventory and rejected parts.
- Keep truck maintenance and schedule truck repairs and truck driver log.
- Wraps, packages and ships finished goods.
- Arrange shipment by calling and setting pickups and coordinating delivery and pickup of parts.
- Drive company truck for pickup and delivery. (Must have a valid California Driver's License and clean driving record, DMV printout required)
- Must maintain all quality and safety standards, ensures areas are clean and hazard free.
Qualifications Required:
- Experience operating powered forklifts, manual pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Self-starter, multi-tasker able to work as part of a team and with our quality inspection staff.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Requires standing, lifting, pushing and pulling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Position requires overtime as needed.
- Must have good oral and written skills.
