Job Description
Santa Barbara Freight is looking for CDL A
- LTL Professional Company Drivers to join our team. The position is considered local from Paso Robles 'some touch freight' home daily with the occasional layover. This route is mostly central coastal region. We typically carry uniform palletized refrigerated freight. We have no slow season; work is consistent and year-round, with drivers averaging 50
- 60 hours per week consistently. Minimum Requirements
- Two (2) years Class A commercial driving consecutive experience in the last four (4) years
- Valid current commercial driver's license, MVR that reflects compliance with DOT Regulations and at least 23 years of age for insurance purposes
- Live within 40 miles of drop yard in Paso Robles, CA
- Comfortable and capable of making multiple pickups & deliveries of palletized freight utilizing 53' reefer trailer
- Experience utilizing electric and manual pallet jacks
- Basic math skills for counting cases of various sizes and content quantities We offer
- Hourly straight pay for ALL on duty hours (on duty driving & on duty not driving)

- 24-hour direct line maintenance & road service and one on one 24-hour dispatcher Pay DOE $24
- $26 per hour
Physical Fitness Requirements :
Drivers will be required to meet specific physical standards to ensure they are capable of safely performing their duties. These standards have been developed in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines. Lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis. Pull and tug when needed to hook and unhook trailers. Lift or open trailer doors. Climb into and out of the truck multiple times. Operate a hand truck and/or pallet jack when needed up to 2,500 pounds for the length of the trailer. Secure and move freight of various sizes and weights up to 2,500 pounds within the confines of a trailer. Count and label freight at pickup/delivery locations. Fuel truck and trailer at authorized locations. Have regular, predictable attendance. We look forward to you joining our team, lets get you rolling today!Job Type:
