Job Description

Commercial Water Truck Driver
  • Hague Quality Water of San Diego
  • is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Commercial Water Truck Driver to join our team. This is a full-time, year-round position offering a consistent 40-hour workweek, excellent benefits, and opportunities for additional compensation during extended wildfire assignments. Primary Responsibilities
  • Operate commercial water trucks safely and professionally.
  • Perform dust-abatement services at construction sites and other locations.
  • Provide water-tender support for CAL FIRE, the U.S. Forest Service, and other emergency-response agencies.
  • Deliver water tanks and related equipment throughout San Diego County.
  • Complete required vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Keep assigned trucks, equipment, and work areas clean and properly maintained.
  • Maintain accurate delivery, mileage, inspection, and service records.
  • Assist other departments within Hague Quality Water as needed.
  • Represent the company professionally when working with customers, contractors, government agencies, and emergency personnel.
  • Follow all company policies, traffic laws, safety procedures, and applicable commercial driving regulations.
Schedule and Fire Assignments This is a full-time, year-round position consisting of four 10-hour workdays each week. During wildfire assignments, employees may be required to travel and remain away from home for extended periods. Additional hours worked during these assignments will be compensated in accordance with company policy and applicable overtime requirements. Applicants should be prepared for changing schedules, long shifts, outdoor working conditions, and extended travel during wildfire season. Qualifications
  • Valid, unrestricted commercial driver's license with a current tanker endorsement.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to operate large commercial vehicles safely in a variety of environments.
  • Willingness and availability to travel for extended wildfire assignments.
  • Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently.
  • Strong commitment to safety, equipment care, and professional conduct.
  • Ability to perform physical work and assist other departments as needed.
  • Previous experience operating water trucks, water tenders, or other heavy commercial vehicles is preferred. Benefits Hague Quality Water offers a competitive employee benefits package that includes:

Pay:
$27.03 - $32.55 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
