Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Class A Driver and take the wheel of our state-of-the-art tractor-trailers to deliver freight across various routes. This role is perfect for motivated, safety-conscious drivers who thrive on navigating complex logistics and ensuring timely deliveries. As a key player in our transportation network, you'll operate refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment, all while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly and our customers satisfied. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, on over-the-road (OTR) routes and local deliveries Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize efficiency and meet delivery schedules Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with FMCSA and hazardous materials regulations Transport automobile parts or other freight securely, maintaining the integrity of cargo during transit Follow DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and hazardous materials regulations at all times Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with DOT regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with a Class A license Familiarity with operating manual transmission trucks and manual handling procedures for logistics cargo handling Prior experience transporting hazardous materials or dangerous goods is highly desirable Knowledge of truck loading/unloading techniques for freight such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, or tanker cargoes Ability to navigate using GPS systems confidently on long-haul routes across diverse terrains Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols during truck driving operations and cargo handling Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a difference! Pay:
$28.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
