Ryder is seeking a dedicated and reliable CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team, providing top-tier transportation and logistics services. This role is intrinsic to our commitment to deliver goods safely, efficiently, and on schedule, directly impacting our reputation for excellence in client service. As a key member of our fleet, you will not only be driving but also upholding our standards of safety, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck to fulfill daily delivery tasks. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, reporting any deficiencies. Plan best route options using knowledge of local and long-haul driving regulations. Document and log work/rest periods, mileage, fuel consumption, and other information, complying with DOT regulations and company policies. Load and unload cargo, securing loads to prevent damage, and observing all health and safety protocols. Communicate effectively with dispatch/operations staff to resolve any operational challenges or schedule changes. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all deliveries are done in a professional and timely manner. Required Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver with manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Ability to handle physical workload necessary for loading and unloading goods. Skill in GPS and other digital route and vehicle monitoring systems.
