In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, combined with your commitment to safety and efficiency, will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all federal and state regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced logistics operation that values professionalism, reliability, and excellence in service. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers equipped with trailers to transport freight over long distances and local routes. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals. No Loading and Unloading freight manually . Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety, including checking load securement, tire pressure, brakes, lights, and fluid levels. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during transit. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to truck loading/unloading, manual handling, and cargo handling procedures. Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, Hazardous Materials Regulations (Hazmat), and safety standards for dangerous goods. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently. Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for route planning across OTR routes. Excellent manual handling skills for cargo loading/unloading operations while maintaining safety standards.
