Job Description

Clean Harbors is seeking a Local Class A Straight Truck Driver to support refinery operations. In this role, you will safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste and materials between customer sites, refineries, and disposal facilities using straight trucks and related equipment. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate manifests and logs, adhering to DOT and OSHA regulations, and following strict safety and environmental protocols. You will interact professionally with refinery staff, respond to changing priorities, and participate in ongoing training to support Clean Harbors' mission of environmental protection and workplace safety. Responsibilities Operate Class A straight truck for local refinery routes Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely and compliantly Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete logs Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety procedures Maintain accurate shipping documents, manifests, and records Communicate professionally with refinery and customer personnel Assist with loading/unloading and proper securing of materials Report incidents, equipment issues, and near-misses promptly Participate in required safety and environmental training Support emergency or priority response needs as required Required Skills Class A commercial driving Hazardous materials handling Vehicle inspection and maintenance basics Knowledge of DOT regulations Knowledge of OSHA safety standards Logbook and manifest documentation Local route navigation and time management Safe loading/unloading procedures PPE and safety equipment use Refinery and industrial site safety practices
