Job Description
Clean Harbors is seeking a safety-focused Driver Class A to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste and materials between customer sites and company facilities. In this role, you will operate Class A trucks, conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate DOT logs and manifests. You will ensure safe loading, securing, and unloading of materials while following strict environmental and safety protocols. Working in a safety-first, team-oriented culture, you'll support critical environmental services, interact with customers professionally, and contribute to Clean Harbors' mission of environmental protection and sustainability. Responsibilities Operate Class A trucks to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste and materials safely to designated facilities Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate driver logs and manifests in compliance with DOT and company regulations Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of materials following safety and environmental protocols Follow all federal, state, and local transportation and hazardous materials regulations Communicate with dispatch and customers to coordinate routes, schedules, and service needs Use required PPE and follow company safety procedures at all times Report incidents, equipment issues, or route deviations promptly to supervision Assist with basic vehicle maintenance checks such as fluids, tires, and safety equipment Required Skills CDL Class A driving Hazardous materials handling DOT compliance and hours-of-service logging Defensive driving Route planning and navigation Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Load securement Use of PPE and safety procedures Electronic and paper log management Customer communication
