Job Description

Silver Lining Transports is a non-emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) company that has been proudly serving for over 40 years. BCE is looking for full-time drivers to transport clients to and from medical appointments and other engagements. Many of our clients are disabled and may need to be transported by wheelchair or gurney. If you don't like being in an office all day, have an excellent driving record, are compassionate and friendly and enjoy meeting and helping people, we would like to hear from you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Transport patients to various locations in our medical transport vehicles in a safe efficient and timely manner. Observe and follow all traffic rules and regulations. Inspect vehicles before shift by checking fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes and steering to ensure vehicle can be operated safely. Notify supervisor of mechanical defects or needed repairs. Report and document all accidents, vehicle damage, client incidents and mechanical failures. Complete trip documentation (mainly via phone applications). Keep assigned vehicle clean and fueled. Wheelchair and Gurney lift operation Communicate with Dispatch. Follow safety and COVID protocols Instruct clients on safe riding rules and regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid California Driver's License. Good Driving Record. Must be at least 23 years old Ability to pass alcohol & drug test Ability to pass background check Ability to pass First Aid & CPR training course Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical Must have a positive attitude, good communication skills and be empathetic and polite. Past NEMT Driver experience is a plus, but not mandatory. We will train you!
