South Gate, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $30 - $32 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications TWIC Card Customer service Semi-truck operation CDL A Transportation management systems Ability to follow instructions Full Job Description 2nd Shift Port Drayage CDL Class A Driver - Local / Regional Job Summary 8Loop Trans Inc. is hiring an experienced CDL Class A Driver specifically for our 2nd Shift Port Drayage operation. This position is primarily local port and intermodal work , with most routes operating within a 100-150 mile radius . Occasional regional routes to Arizona may be assigned based on operational needs. Shift:
3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Start and end times may vary depending on port/terminal activity, customer appointments, traffic, and operational needs. Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A tractor and container chassis during our 2nd shift operation . Pick up and return loaded and empty containers at ports, rail terminals, customer facilities, warehouses, and company yards. Complete primarily local routes within a 100-150 mile radius . Complete occasional regional routes to Arizona when required. Follow dispatch instructions and provide accurate, timely load status updates. Verify container numbers, chassis numbers, seal numbers, and shipment information. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Inspect containers and chassis for visible damage or defects before accepting equipment. Obtain and submit required EIRs, interchange tickets, delivery documents, and other supporting paperwork . Properly connect and disconnect chassis, air lines, electrical lines, and fifth-wheel connections. Maintain communication with dispatch regarding terminal delays, appointments, equipment issues, accidents, and other service disruptions. Follow all port, rail, customer, DOT, FMCSA, and company safety requirements. Immediately report accidents, cargo damage, equipment damage, citations, or safety concerns. Maintain company equipment in a clean and professional condition.
REQUIRED
Qualifications Applicants must meet the following requirements : Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL Class A commercial driving experience. MUST have a current TWIC Card. Valid CDL Class A driver

$30.00 - $32.00 per hour
