$22-$24 Job Summary Employnet is seeking an experienced Yard Hostler to safely and efficiently move trailers throughout the yard and support daily warehouse and transportation operations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience operating a yard truck/hostler and be comfortable working in a fast-paced cold storage environment. Job Duties Safely operate a yard hostler to move trailers between dock doors and designated yard locations. Position trailers accurately at assigned dock doors. Move empty and loaded trailers throughout the yard as needed. Perform trailer and yard checks before and during operation. Communicate with warehouse personnel, drivers, and management regarding trailer movement. Assist with maintaining an organized and efficient yard. Follow all yard safety procedures and company policies. Inspect equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain accurate trailer and yard records as required. Assist with coordinating trailer availability for loading and unloading. Work in a refrigerated/cold storage environment as required. Perform other duties related to yard and warehouse operations. Qualifications Previous yard hostler/yard truck experience required. Valid driver's license. Ability to safely maneuver trailers in a busy warehouse yard. Experience backing trailers into dock doors. Strong attention to safety and detail. Ability to communicate effectively with drivers and warehouse personnel. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a warehouse, transportation, distribution, or cold storage environment preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a hostler. Ability to enter and exit the hostler frequently. Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions. Ability to work around refrigerated/cold storage areas.
