(Department of Transportation) regulations Materials handling Waste transport Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Class A or B Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will operate a commercial vehicle in order to transport recycling materials, and personnel to pickup locations. Your expertise will ensure timely pickups and deliveries while adhering to safety regulations, supporting the successful completion of collections. This position offers an opportunity to be a valuable member of a growing company. Duties Safely operate Class A or B commercial truck in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company policies. Transport recycling materials including jugs, drums and pails. Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage or accidents. Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance. Follow all safety protocols during transportation and on-site activities, including adherence to safety regulations for heavy equipment operation. Maintain accurate logs of trips, deliveries, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance and reporting purposes. Skills Two years of proven experience in commercial truck driving. Mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance and troubleshooting of truck. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements, weights, and quantities on-site. Strong understanding of safety regulations including DOT (Department of Transportation) rules and safety protocol adherence. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site supervisors.
Pay:
$28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 65.0 per week
