Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take the wheel of our state-of-the-art tractor-trailers to deliver freight safely and efficiently across diverse routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. As a vital link in our logistics network, you will be responsible for transporting freight over the road (OTR), ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, across long-distance OTR routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securing for transportation of hazardous materials and dangerous goods when applicable. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules and optimize travel times. Transport various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, automobile transportation, flatbed loads, or tanker shipments, maintaining the integrity of the cargo throughout transit. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before hitting the road. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route adjustments, delivery updates, or safety concerns during transit. Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmission preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving over long distances. Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operations, hazardous materials regulations, and logistics cargo handling procedures. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, hazard communication protocols for dangerous goods, and safety procedures for truck loading/unloading. Experience navigating GPS systems in various environments and managing route adjustments efficiently. Prior work involving freight transportation—such as flatbed or tanker loads—and delivering sensitive or hazardous cargo is highly desirable.
