In this vital role, you will operate heavy construction machinery, including dump trucks, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks, to support excavation, grading, utility work, and site development projects. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient transportation of materials and precise operation of equipment in compliance with all safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects while maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence. Duties Safely operate dump trucks, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks in accordance with federal construction safety regulations and company safety procedures. Transport construction materials, debris, and equipment across various job sites efficiently and responsibly. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Assist with construction utility work by locating underground utilities using utility locating techniques to prevent damage or accidents. Support excavation and grading activities by operating heavy machinery such as excavators and loaders with precision. Follow detailed instructions from site supervisors to complete tasks accurately while adhering to construction site safety protocols. Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, inspections, maintenance activities, and safety compliance records. Requirements Proven experience in commercial truck driving and heavy equipment operation within a construction environment. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting basic issues with dump trucks and other construction machinery. Experience operating excavation equipment such as excavators, backhoes, loaders, and water trucks. Familiarity with construction grading techniques and excavation processes. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures. Ability to perform routine maintenance on heavy machinery to ensure safe operation. Strong understanding of construction site operations and utility work procedures. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.
