(Department of Transportation) regulations DOT Physical Certification Ability to follow instructions Full Job Description Job Overview Golden Apple Express, Inc. is hiring experienced CDL Class A or B Dump Truck Drivers for local construction-hauling work throughout Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. Drivers will operate automatic-transmission Super 10 and Super Tag dump trucks to transport dirt, rock, asphalt, broken concrete, construction debris, garbage, aggregates, and similar materials. This is primarily local work, allowing drivers to return home regularly. We serve contractors, construction companies, landscaping businesses, and public works projects throughout Solano, Napa, Sonoma, Marin, Contra Costa, Alameda, and surrounding counties. Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate automatic-transmission Super 10, Super Tag, 10-wheeler, transfer, end-dump, or similar dump-truck equipment Haul dirt, rock, asphalt, concrete, construction debris, garbage, aggregates, and other permitted materials Perform local pickups and deliveries at construction sites, quarries, landfills, recycling facilities, and material yards Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Properly position the truck for loading, dumping, and unloading Safely raise and lower the dump body while monitoring overhead clearance and ground conditions Follow instructions from dispatchers, contractors, equipment operators, and jobsite supervisors Maintain accurate daily logs, load tickets, weight slips, and delivery documentation Use GPS and routing applications to reach jobsites safely and on time Follow all company safety procedures and applicable DOT, FMCSA, Cal/OSHA, and California regulations Keep the assigned truck clean and immediately report mechanical or safety concerns Maintain professional communication with customers, dispatchers, and jobsite personnel Qualifications Valid California CDL Class A or Class B license Minimum of two years of commercial driving experience Previous dump-truck driving experience is required Experience operating Super 10 or Super Tag dump trucks is strongly preferred Current DOT medical certificate Clean and acceptable driving record Ability to safely operate an automatic-transmission commercial vehicle Knowledge of Northern California and Bay Area roads, construction sites, quarries, and landfills is preferred Understanding of vehicle weight limits, load distribution, and safe dumping procedures Ability to pass all required background checks, drug screening, and DOT testing Dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to follow dispatch instructions Ability to work early mornings, overtime, and occasional weekends when projects require it
Pay:
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 50.0 per week
