Monday-Friday:
4:30PM through 3:00AM Saturday & Sunday Work isAvailable:
Day shifts or Night Shifts (may include yard work or local runs, including airport assignments)POSITION SUMMARY
QX Logistix is looking for an experienced weekend Class A Yard Driver to join our Team. The Yard Driver will move and transport containers in our shipping yard while ensuring that trailers are being moved safely and efficiently.ABOUT US

We are strongly committed to providing the best in customer service and run our business with an entrepreneurial and collaborative style.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Moving trailers and straight trucks within the yard to other yards or locations: Yard drivers are responsible for safely and efficiently relocating trailers and straight trucks within the yard, as well as transporting them to other yards or designated locations, often using a specialized truck called a yard jockey or yard goat. Maximizing trailer, tractor, and employee vehicle parking: Yard drivers are responsible for monitoring the location and status of trailers, equipment, and trucks and assisting the security team by ensuring traffic flow is managed, preventing congestion, and avoiding bottlenecks in the yard.Coordinating with other yard personnel:
Yard drivers must work closely with personnel in the yard, such as security guards, supervisors, and dispatchers, to ensure that trailers are moved in a timely and efficient manner.Performing safety checks:
Yard drivers are responsible for conducting thorough safety inspections on their equipment before and after each shift to ensure it is in proper working condition and to identify any maintenance or repair needs.Maintaining records:
Yard drivers must keep accurate records of their daily activities, including trailer movements, safety checks, and any issues that arise. Maintaining the yard free of debris: Yard drivers are expected to ensure the yard remains clean and free of debris to promote a safe and organized work environment. Assisting with occasional local pickups and deliveries: Yard drivers may be required to assist with local pickups and deliveries using straight trucks or tractors as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years of experience as a Yard Driver required. - Must have a TWIC Card
- Must have a valid Class A license
- Must be available weekends
