Job Summary Immediate position for Class B driver

PT / FT. LAX

cargo airport experience a plus. Ability to lift up to 50lb. Regular duties include loading/unloading deliveries at Vista and at LAX cargo and cold storage facilities. Schedule is flexible/variable with both daytime and nighttime routes. Hours vary based on our delivery schedule, and shifts may begin early morning or evening. Must be able to work weekends including Sunday. Applicants must have flexibility regarding start times. Duties Safely operate Class B commercial trucks in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws Load and unload efficiently ensuring proper handling of cargo Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to identify mechanical issues; perform basic maintenance or report repairs needed Follow designated routes , ensuring timely pickups while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during pickups and addressing any concerns or questions Experience Proven experience operating Class B commercial trucks such as garbage trucks, front loaders, rear loaders, or roll-off trucks Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (air brake, manual transmission preferred) Solid knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and state transportation laws governing commercial vehicle operation Experience in heavy lifting, route driving, and load & unload procedures Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting and performing routine vehicle inspections Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence during outdoor work environments Customer service experience is highly valued to ensure positive interactions with clients

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
