Operate our shuttle vehicles primarily between VCC and local sites in San Diego's North County area. Transport patients and clients in a safe, efficient and positive customer- focused manner. May provide courier services between clinic sites. Assist riders in mounting and/or dismounting vehicle including installing and securing child safety seats Maintain transportation schedules for patients Maintain transportation logs and submit to supervisor on a monthly basis Ensure regular maintenance is performed and any mechanical issues are addressed immediately, including cleaning Enforce no eating, drinking or smoking policy by riders inside van Complete and submit vehicle inspection reportsQualifications:
Minimum High school graduate or equivalent Bilingual English/Spanish Valid California driver's license and proof of auto insurance Clean driving record for a minimum period of three years prior to hire; must maintain clean driving record throughout employment Current CPR certification. Must successfully complete initial training program Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Thorough knowledge of VCC facility locations and San Diego's North County area Ability to read/interpret directional maps (e.g., Thomas Bros) and to use GPS systems Strong customer focused communication skills Ability to drive safely in inclement weather Demonstrated dependability, ability to meet deadlines and adherence to all safety regulations Experience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel), business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilities Pay Range $21.00 - $22.00 per hour Depending On ExperienceBenefits
