Waste Connections is hiring a CDL Driver to safely operate collection trucks serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers. In this Transportation & Warehousing role, you'll run assigned routes, collect and transport solid waste and recyclables, and complete pre-/post-trip inspections. Responsibilities Operate CDL truck safely on assigned residential and commercial routes Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete logs Collect, transport, and dump solid waste and recyclables per company standards Follow all DOT, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies Communicate with dispatch and team to resolve route or service issues Provide courteous service to customers and represent Waste Connections professionally Report equipment issues, hazards, and incidents promptly Assist with cart/container placement, clean-up, and minor truck maintenance Required Skills Commercial driving with CDL (Class A or B) DOT regulations and hours-of-service compliance Vehicle inspection and basic truck maintenance Safe operation of hydraulic and lifting equipment Route navigation and time management Waste and recycling material handling Defensive driving and hazard recognition Electronic logging devices (ELDs) and paperwork accuracy Customer service in field operations Knowledge of safety and PPE procedures
